I thought I would pull out one of the stamp sets I have never played with. This is not something I would normally purchase, but I received it as a door prize when attending a Stampin’ Up! event for demonstrators. Definitely not my style, but I knew I could make a simple card with it. This is a set that is in the new Annual Catalog 2021-2022.
I used a Cider Cinnamon card base and covered it with the 2020-2022 In Color 6×6 Designer Series Paper, using the Bumblebee colors. I cut one piece at 2-1/8″ x 5-1/2″ and the other at 2-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ so they would very slightly overlap. Next I stamped an image from the stamp set on the paper with Bumblebee ink and added a piece of ribbon down the middle to hide my overlapping paper. Everything was then adhered to the card base.
Next I stamped the large image in Cinnamon Cider on Whisper White cardstock and fussy cut the image, adding a little bit of yellow color to the top of the stems. I’m going to have to play with my Cricut a little and let it do the cutting for me from now on. Anyway, I punched out a 2″ circle from the Cinnamon Cider Designer Series Paper and a 1-1/2″ circle from Whisper White and attached it to the card. Dimensionals were attached to the stamped image and placed. I stamped the sentiment in Cinnamon Cider and added some of the retired 2020-2022 dots to the card.
Quick and easy and I think I will have to play with this set a little bit more in the future. Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
