Well, as I’ve mentioned before, I’m not good at just creating something from scratch. I need someone to point me to a template and then I’m off to the races. This is when I headed to the Facebook group “Case-ing Tuesday.” They pick a photo from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalog and encourage stampers to share their creations from their stashes. It was time for me to finish up all of my Flowering Cactus Designer Series Paper and that meant more “thank you”, “just because”, and “get well” cards using this design.

I started with Pear Pizzazz and Mint Macaron card bases, added my Designer Series Paper, and then headed to my dies. I cut out a Stitched Rectangle die in the above colors and then added some Basic White cardstock underneath it to make it pop a little more. Then I added the various sentiments and punching them out using the retired Washi Tape punch. A little bit of twine and the felt flowers from the bundle and my project was complete.

Once I cut my DSP to the 4 x 5-1/4 and the 3 x 5 pieces from my 6 x 6 DSP, I had quite a few leftovers. So I cut those into 1 x 5-1/4 strips and created these cards with the scraps, using the same basic design.

I used my Stamparatus to add the sentiment to the inside of the “Life can get kinda prickly” cards. I always like to use this when I’m making multiples and want to make sure my sentiment is clear and straight each time. Afterwards I added a stamped image of one of the cacti at the bottom to add a little something extra. By the way, I find if I put my stamp case underneath the Stamparatus hinged plate, it’s very easy to ink up the stamp without any wobbling. As you can also see, I’ve added “Duck” tape (in pretty colors) to the magnet. This makes it easy to grab and easy to find, because those things really stick! Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!

I’m Trenna,
