I’ve been doing the Totally Tiffany’s Get Organized Challenge and realize I even have more “stuff” than I thought I did. One thing that came to the forefront was the obscene amount of old Stampin’ Up! paper that I have and have never used. So I’m starting with some of the oldest paper and once a month I will pull some 12 x 12 sheets out and use them in cards. This was my creation for June.

This is the front and back sides of the paper I chose, along with one other odd sheet that was in with this bunch. The stripes I could see me using, but the ornate flower page is definitely not me. I decided using it would definitely challenge me.

Anyway, I cut a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock at 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 and scored it at 4-1/4. Then I flipped it and cut 1-1/2 off the front of the card base. Now you could have just cut the cardstock at 7 x 5-1/2 to begin with and that would work fine also. Since I was kind of experimenting at where I wanted everything, the 8-1/2 way worked best for me.

Next I cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock at 4 x 5-1/4 for the inside of the card and another piece at 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 to layer my Designer Series Paper on. The flowered DSP was cut at 2-3/8 x 5-1/8 and then the more solid DSP was cut at 1-1/4 x 5-1/8. I adhered the flowered DSP on the Very Vanilla cardstock to the front and then placed the other piece on the inside card base, placing it appropriately.

I stamped the inside of the card with “Happy Birthday” from the Sending You Thoughts stamp set using my Stamparatus. Since I intend to make about 20 of these cards using up all of the paper, it’s much easier to use the Stamparatus and then I know everything is straight.

I added a piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock cut at 3 x 1-1/4 and layered a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock cut at 2-7/8 x 1-1/8 on it and also stamped my image from the same set, once again using my Stamparatus. I adhered it to the front using Dimensionals, with part of it hanging off the side.

It felt good to at least get a few pieces of old paper out of the stack and using it in a different way. Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
