I have a few friends I know will appreciate this card for their birthday! I thought I would have a little fun with the CASE-ing Tuesday challenge. This week we needed to take a look at page 86 of the Annual Catalog and recreate the card shown in the upper left-hand corner.
I pulled out my 6×6 Neutral Designer Series Paper and simply cut several 1-inch strips. The card base is Basic Gray, along with another piece of Basic Gray cut at 4 x 5-1/4 attached with Dimensionals to the base. Then I simply started layering the different strips.
I stamped my funny cat in Memento ink and used my gray and red watercolor pencils to add a tiny bit of color to him. The rest was simply stamping and punching and I layered it all on the card with more Dimensionals. I pulled out the Metallic Pearls and they worked perfectly to add a little bling.
Here is the inside of the card. I haven’t used this set in ages and it was nice to sit down and just create a quick and simple card.
