I know I mentioned I was at a scrapbooking retreat over the 4th of July, and I thought I would show you a sample of the gifts I made for the other gals attending with me.

I made eight of these bags with a coordinating card inside for them to send to someone for a little pick-me-up whenever they thought a friend needed a card. I used a bunch of my retired Designer Series Paper in creating the bags and cards.

This was a sample of one of the cards I made for in the bags. I also included lens wipes, hand wipes, travel Kleenex, band-aids (for the inevitable paper cuts) and, of course, some chocolate. The bags were designed by another demonstrator, and I’ll try to make a video of how they are cut and put together. It’s like most things — once you do one, the others go together fairly quickly. Even if you aren’t interested in the bags, use the card template to create your own cards.

This card was creating using an embossing folder on the card base, some Basic White cardstock, and then punched circles from papers that were then cut in half. Add a little ribbon and you have another quick card using up some of your scraps!

Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
