I’ve decided to try and challenge myself once a month with creating a card that is randomly picked by my computer of a page from one of our current catalogs. This time it ended up being page 67 from the Mini Catalog.

This was the photo of the cards/tags on that page. Since I really don’t need tags, I decided I would take the same principle and put a tag on a card.
I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock for the card base. I then added the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper to place a layer on the card base and also to create my tag. I don’t have a tag punch or framelit that would be the correct size; so, I created one from a piece of DSP, cut at 2-1/2 x 4, rounding the top corners and then scalloping the bottom edge like shown in the catalog.

I then went to my retired Seasonal Bells stamp set with the coordinating Bell punch. I stamped my bells in Cherry Cobbler and then added the current Flat Jingle Bell Trinkets to the top of the bells. I punched a hole in the tag and the top of the bells and threaded through some retired ribbon. The tag and the bells were placed on dimensional and then adhered to the card.

Next I ran through my different framelits and used the framelit from the retired Birthday Banners stamp set for the greeting, the retired Flourish framelit for the holly type image, and the leaves from the retired Rose Wonder stamp set with coordinating framelits. It all got added to the card as you see and then I also played with the current Pearlized Enamel Effects Basic Real Red to add a little bit of bling to the holly on the die-cut and some of the holly on the DSP. I was sticking to the idea of the tag from the catalog of a sentiment and some holly or greenery.
Like I’ve always said, check your stash and see what you can create with what you have and a few new embellishments. This turned out much better than I expected and I even got to play with some new stuff, paper and trinkets and enamel effects. My goal is to actually use the stuff I buy. I feel like I did pretty well with this card.
Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
