Well, I know it’s Monday, but the CASE-ing Tuesday Sketch was from last week. Here is the card from Page 2 of the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog that was to be the inspiration for our cards.

And here are the dimensions in layout form to help with designing your card.

I hope you like the cards I created. I really took the image from the catalog as my main inspiration. First I pulled out the Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper. I chose my pieces and decided that I would pull out the old embossing powder and do some heat embossing. I used the snowflakes from the Snow is Glistening retired stamp set. I ran my embossing buddy over the paper and stamped with Versamark and then embossed with white embossing powder. I was wondering how well it would work, since my embossing powder is at least eight years old. Obviously, it does pretty well.

I adhered the paper to my Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow card bases, leaving the 1/4″ strip on the side to add a coordinating piece. For the Mossy Meadow card, I used vellum, since I didn’t have anything else that struck my fancy. The Cherry Cobbler card used a piece from the paper which had poinsettias on it.

I liked the idea of a diamond shape and thought I would use the Square Vellum Doilies. I just used a little bit of glue in the middle of the doily and a little on the corners, since you could see some of the glue and I wanted to be able to cover that up. Next came coordinating ribbon and the die from the Beautiful Boughs dies. I stamped the Merry Christmas from the Hope & Peace stamp set, adhered the die-cut with dimensionals and added a few basic rhinestones for a little bit more “oomph”.

See what you can create with the product from your stash and have fun with it. Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
