Well, I’ve gotten into doing these Zoom meetings for Stampin’ Up! demonstrators that have been happening in October. This is the one from last week. I enjoyed doing it, but the next one I make using this technique, I will do it on a piece of cardstock to be added to the card base. I simply like adding a little more dimension to my cards.

First off, these were the two stamp sets I chose to use, since I didn’t have the one that was demonstrated. I, of course, used the leaves from Lighthearted Leaves and the little lightning bug from Jar of Love.
First off, you can use Masking Tape to block the areas you don’t want ink on or use a 3×5 Post-it Note like I did. When we are talking straight lines, a Post-It Note works just fine. Anyway, I laid my masks down and did the larger bottom layer, using Pumpkin Pie for the first half and then Poppy Parade for the second half. On the upper layer, I then used Poppy Parade again and then finished it off with Cajun Craze. Kind of hard to explain, but with using the blending brushes and an ink pad, it was easy-peasy. I added the smaller strips because, as usual, I had ink on my fingers and smudged the card when I took off the mask. So I just added to smaller strips to cover my goof.
Then it was just simply stamping my other images in black, and even though the photo of the card doesn’t show it, I knew I had to add some bling. Holiday Rhinestones to the rescue. Maybe a quick video is in order to explain a little better. We’ll see.
By the way, Happy Halloween! Just a photo of my mom and me at the Halloween celebration at her facility for Trick or Treating. Preschoolers dropped by and sang a few songs and then went Trick or Treating at all of the residents’ doors. It was a hoot!

Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
