My Card Swap

So, I attended a Mix & Mingle get-together between 25 Arizona Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from the Phoenix area. It was limited to 25 and I happened to RSVP in time to be able to attend. They are having several of these throughout the Arizona area, but this one was a little closer to my home. Although I didn’t meet any demos really in my area, I had a fun time just gabbing. We also did a card swap, which entails creating a card (making 25 of the same card) and then swapping with the other demos who participated.

We were supposed to use only current product from the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog and since I only owned two current stamp sets and Designer Series Paper, my choices were limited. Once again, my Sweet Songbirds stamp came out and I used the new Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. I cut the paper in 1/2 inch strips and adhered them to a piece of cardstock at an angle. I then placed this on a piece of Basic White cardstock and attached it to a Balmy Blue card base. I stamped my bird in Balmy Blue, added some songbird notes and placed a couple of pieces of bling on the notes. Of course, I also added some white embossing for the sentiment.

I’ll be going through my card swaps I received and showing you the original and then the one I will have created from their idea. It should be fun to see what I can come up with from my retired stash.

Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
