I needed a little help to get my mojo working and decided I would start with a sketch from Mary Fish. Here is what I ended up with.

As you can see, I deviated from her sketch a little bit. First of all, I decided I wanted to go vertically instead of horizontally. I used about the same dimensions for the panels – Highland Heather cardstock measured 2 x 5-1/4 and then 3 x 2-3/4 and the Hand-Penned DSP was 1-3/4 x 5 and 2-3/4 x 2-1/2, all on a Blushing Bride card base. Yes, it’s more of the Hand-Penned DSP, but I used both the front and back of the paper for this. I still have 3 more sheets of 12 x 12 paper in that line and then finally you won’t see any more of it!

I chose to forego the ribbon and decided my card had enough going on with the die cuts from the coordinating dies.

I added the sentiment from the retired Thoughts & Prayers stamp set and then added a few stamped images in the bottom corner of the inside of the card. I also added a few pearls from the retired Pastel Pearls embellishments to the front.

Even though my finished card doesn’t look much like the template, it was enough to get the juices flowing. I have enough cut to make 12 more cards and I will leave the sentiment off the front of the card and will add the appropriate saying when I actually get ready to mail them.

Try a sketch this week you find online and see if you can work your magic on it. Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
