Time to pull out stuff from my stash for some birthday cards and I went with the Create a Cupcake set. There are a couple of cute cupcake sets in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog I’ve seen online, but once again I decided to go to my stash and use what I’ve got.

I started with a Basic White heavy cardstock for the base and then ran a birthday embossing folder through the Big Shot on Pumpkin Pie cardstock. I used some retired DSP from the Sale-a-bration catalog this year for the cupcake bases and punched them from the Cupcake Builder punch, also retired. Everything went on more DSP from the same pack, cut with a scalloped die and placed on a Basic White circle. Adding the flames from some gold foil was a pain but worth it. A little bit of ribbon and I felt it was done.

I tried to follow the circle theme through to the inside of the card and rounded the ends of my sentiment that was stamped on Basic White cardstock. Of course, a few little embellishments were added to the front of the card, more from my stash.

The inside sentiment is my motto for birthdays! Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
