I finally pulled out the Confetti Birthday Kit I purchased a while ago. I mainly was interested in it because it’s been a long time since I did a shaker card and I wanted something that would get me back in the swing of things. This kit definitely did it. I did a few things differently than the video.

Let’s take the Let’s Party card first. This was very simple and I just added a couple of Rhinestones that I colored with a blue sharpie to give it a little more bling. Next is the card with the bow and I added a decorative dot to the bow from the 2022-2024 In Color Matte Decorative Dots. Finally on the birthday cake, I simply took my yellow marker and colored in the candle flames.

I didn’t like the way the clear envelope that contained the shaker elements shown on the back of the front of the card, so I covered them with coordinating cardstock. I also felt the need to add a little bit more of the shaker elements to the cards, and on the birthday cake card, I went to my stash and used the retired Whale of a Time Sequins to finish it.

I had a couple of the tags left over and will use them on some other cards. I somehow managed to get a few dots of something on the Let’s Party circle, but I will cover that up with some bling and pretend I planned it that way!
I’ll work on some more shaker cards in the future and try to decrease the number of shaker elements located in my stash! Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
