I have never done a Mystery Card Challenge before but what a blast! Shannon West from Stampin’ Up!’s home office graciously visited us online at our monthly Fine Line demonstrator meeting. Beforehand, we were told to gather any paper we chose from our stash that consisted of four different designs, coordinating cardstock, circle punch, embossing folder, Versamark ink, ribbon and embellishments, everything we would need to create our card.

Above is the one I created as I worked along with Shannon as she put her card together. She chose a Christmas card. I decided to use what was on my desk, which happened to be the Favored Flowers from a free Sale-a-bration offering awhile ago. I added the Polka Dot embossing folder, the Painted Seasons stamp set and some Stitched Shapes and Layering Circles dies. The designer paper was cut into four 2×1-1/2 inch rectangles. I used the front and back of my paper, so it was only necessary to cut from two sheets of paper.

After creating my first card, I thought I would go ahead and do one more using black cardstock to give it more of a contrast. To color the ribbon, I just took my Calypso Coral blends and colored right on the ribbon. I am always forgetting how easy it is to color your ribbon to match a card.

Anyway, hope you enjoy. A couple of weekends earlier was all scrapbooking. This last weekend was all cards and I’ll be showing them to you as I finish them up. Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
