The January 2024 Paper Pumpkin was titled Lovely Lavender. I really liked these two cards. I made them following the instructions, except for the “thinking of you” sentiment I substituted on the one card. I really couldn’t use the tags which were the other project in the kit as shown, so I created a card using them this way instead.

I started with a Highland Heather card base. I added a piece of Basic White cardstock (measuring 4 x 5-1/4) and a piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock (measuring 3-3/4 x 5). I took the Stitched with Whimsy retired die and created the stitched look along both pieces of cardstock. I stamped the lavender image in Gorgeous Grape to add a little bit of variation to the card. The easy part was simply adding the tag to the card with dimensionals.

This is just a closeup of the inside of the card. I wanted you to see the Stitched with Whimsy detail a little bit better. When I first purchased this die, I didn’t really pay attention to what it did. I mistakenly assumed it would cut out around the stitched image. NOPE! But after using it now several times, I’m in love with it.
I know some of the items I showcase are no longer available through Stampin’ Up!, but I want to impress that even though an item is “retired”, that doesn’t mean it isn’t still a great product and fun to use. There are quite a few dies in the new Annual Catalog May 2024 – April 2025 which will work just as well. That catalog goes live on May 1, 2024. The layout of the catalog is totally different from previous catalogs, and I hope you find the new layout a different way to look at your stamps and how you like to craft.
Once again, check out Paper Pumpkin and how it works. Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
