I Did It — April 2024 Delicate Wings Paper Pumpkin

I loved this kit. I followed the instructions and just couldn’t resist adding some Adhesive Backed Gold Sequins and a little bit of twine to the cards. Even though you can’t see it on the photo, I used the Wink of Stella on all of the small butterflies on the bottom card. I ended up with just a few extra butterflies and created two more cards.

I took a Basic White Thick cardstock for the card base and went through some very, very old gold foil paper from Stampin’ Up! from years ago. I also pulled some additionally antique cardstock called Brushed Gold for the layer on the bottom. I added some Early Espresso ink to the retired Gorgeous Grunge stamp and stamped the blots to make it look like the original card. Again, I needed a little bit of bling!

I still had a few small butterflies left and I wanted to try and make my card close to the original one in the kit. Once again I pulled out some retired Stampin’ Up! paper that had gold embossing on it. I took my blending brush and Lost Lagoon ink and covered the paper.. I really loved the look so much I hated to cover it up.

Now I added a piece of gold foil (measuring 4-7/8 x 3-5/8) and then a piece of Basic White cardstock (measuring 4-3/4 x 3-1/2) after stampin the butterfly images in Basic Beige, Lost Lagoon and Basic Gray. I added some gold metal thread and once again attached the leftover butterflies using dimensionals. I added some Wink of Stella and finished the card off by adding the sentiment of “Just a Note”.

I loved how these extra cards turned out and I really had a blast using the blending brush to color the retired gold embossed paper. I still have plenty of it left and might make a few more cards using it just to try some different colors. I have plenty of butterfly stamps and punches to make the smaller butterflies.

Well, can you believe it? I finally got caught up with my Paper Pumpkin boxes and it only took me a week! Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
