Playing with Petal Palette and Water Painters

Yesterday I decided I was just going to play. I had printed up something a while ago and thought it was a different type of card than what I normally do and decided I would give it a go.

Well, you know how it goes when you play. You either end up with something where you go “Ugggg” or something that’s not bad but you would make a few changes. This card is the latter.

I tore the bottom of some watercolor paper and then took a water brush, and using a Balmy Blue ink pad, I added a drop of reinker in the lid and then went to work brushing my water brush across the paper. I then used a little darker color of ink and did the flicking technique on the paper.

Of course, I needed to let this dry and then I went hunting for some stamp sets. I ended up with the ones shown above. After the paper had dried, I stamped in Memento ink the flower image and then played with different color Blends.

When I make this card again, I will change where I place my stamped image and possibly move my greeting to the bottom right-hand corner instead.

Anyway, it was fun just to play for once! Keep stampin’ and scrappin’!
